We are fortunate to have great pools and lakes which have fantastic conditions for confined water sessions. Our training lakes are Clear Lake and Sylvan Lake: we review water clarity, calmness and depth for each day's dives. We embrace the freedom offered in completing confined 'open water' dives in our lakes. This frees us from restrictions of pool availability, limited access, no flexibility in times, etc. Consider our unique bundled courses --- the OW Plus and OW Deluxe packages. We prefer to teach our students the Dry Suit course which is in the OW Plus package, as it provides much greater comfort during the dives. Your Pro-Staff always wears dry suits when diving in Alberta. These bundles provide our students with additional instructional dives to consolidate their skills while earning additional certifications. Alberta Adventure Divers supports the environment, and every dive is a clean up dive. This makes our local dive areas very clean of debris. Military: ask about the CANEX program 50% deposit required to reserve spots in class; payment in full on first class day of setting up equipment.
The PADI Open Water course is the first step to starting your scuba adventures.
We offer an epic experience - the opportunity to learn scuba diving in our local community!
There are three components to certification:
- dive theory - start today! Call the store, or click the link below. Learn dive theory on-line, at your own schedule.
- confined water sessions - learn & practice scuba skills in pools, and calm, shallow waters at a local lake
- four open water dives - either at Clear, Sylvan or Twin Lakes in the summer, or take a referral to another destination.
This PADI certification is recognized by dive operators throughout the world.
NOTE: There is no time limit on when you take your confined and open water lessons after your theory, when you stay with the same dive center.
