Fiji

Nai'a Live Aboard Date : Mar 07-14, 2026 / Paradise Taveuni Date : Mar 14-21, 2026

  • David and I have been to Fiji twice; the diving is out of this world!!
  • Fiji is known for soft corals, amazing colour and unique dive sites.
  • The Fijian culture is unique; we spend all of our time near villages, out of the urban areas.
  • Fijians are the most friendly and welcoming people – tipping is not allowed. If they receive a tip, they feel beholden to you, and they will not be beholden to anyone.
  • The villages will have a communal donation box, if you wish to put some money in for exceptional service. This goes to the village schools, etc.
  • The Nai’a live aboard is first class: exceptional meals, staff, rooms. We’ve been on it both times in Fiji, with fond memories.
  • The Nai’a is typically booked up years in advance: they had 8 spaces to give us, in 4 rooms. One room is booked by David and me.
  • Paradise Taveuni.-The Deluxe Oceanfront Vales are similar in design to the Bures, offering you a large bedroom and Grand 4 Poster king bed, refrigerator, tea or coffee making facilities and comfortable lounge furniture. Perfect for singles or couples alike, the Vales have an indoor bathroom that is tropically designed with a shower, bath products, hairdryer and electronic safe. The outdoor shower in the private lush garden is a Fiji essential. All Oceanfront Vales are air conditioned.

Aboard NAI'A

Eat – dive – eat – dive – eat – dive – repeat. Plus a nap or two! A week aboard the luxury liveaboard dive boat NAI’A is the simplest and most fulfilling holiday a diver could hope for. Once you’ve set up your gear the first time, our crew look after it until it is time to pack it away again. Each morning you wake to a new divesite that is as easily accessed as falling off a log. You can dive as long as you’d like and get whisked back to the boat as soon as you are done, usually just in time for another meal.

Family & Crew

The core of the NAI'A family is her Fijian crew. On each charter, you'll be cared for by fourteen of the friendliest and most able sailors anywhere. Fijians are among the warmest, most welcoming people on earth, so it is no wonder that NAI'A's clients consistently rate the crew as the very best in the business.

In addition to the Fijian crew you will get to know the Cruise Directors, passionate and well-travelled divers themselves, who are the bridge between the crew and the passengers. Their brief is very simple: notice what you want before you do and try to provide it. Bel and Mike have travelled extensively and have thousands of dives between them; so far they've been able to meet the brief pretty damn well...!

Ship Layout

Designed and built in Holland by the world’s finest steel ship craftsmen, NAI’A is 120ft long and 30ft wide with nine passenger staterooms and room for 14 crew. A solid expeditionary ship, she has the range and stability to sail the far reaches of the Pacific and has travelled from her base in Fiji to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Funafuti and the Phoenix Islands in Kiribati.

NAI'A has accommodation for 18 passengers in 9 air-conditioned staterooms with private ensuite heads. All the staterooms were entirely rebuilt in 2010 and are larger than those on most dive vessels with plenty of stowage for gear. They are bright, airy, and comfortable and have both 110v and 220v power.
